The focus of the children's service is to provide children with the opportunity to engage in activities and the community in a safe and inclusive way. The support is primarily short respite sessions that aim to introduce the children to new activities both in the community and at our Base, and is delivered through 1:1 or 2:1 support. There are opportunities for socialising with peers alongside goal setting which is done in partnership with families, schools and other professionals. We encourage independence and communication skills and the support adapts as the children approach adulthood, where families are supported with this transition.
