Young People's Service
The focus of the young people's service is to support those aged 18 to 30 as they move out of children's services and into adulthood. We consider ourselves a transition service, aiming to provide young people with the skills, independence and confidence to move onto the next stages of life, which is usually supported or assisted living. As our members grow through the service, the support adapts to their changing needs and goals, whilst maintaining at its core a person-centred approach. Most support continues to be delivered at a 1:1 or 2:1 level but small groups can form depending on the needs of the young person. There are always options for socialising and for peer groups as well as developing life and independence skills such as travelling, cooking and health and hygiene. Our aim is to equip young people with the foundations they need to thrive into adulthood.
